Checked October 13, 2026. IllFonic’s October 6 Patch 1.1.0 notes lists challenge, emote and crash fixes, along with changes to escapes, combat and map navigation. The October 2 preview is historical; use the released October 6 notes for the current change list.
Compare your installed version before following an older workaround. Patches 1.0.3 and 1.0.4 still explain earlier changes, including Series S graphics modes and the September Perk Points grant. A listed fix is not a guarantee that every similar failure is resolved.
On Series S, 1.0.4 deliberately replaces the Quality/Performance switch with one graphics profile capped at 30 FPS. The developer also reports improved texture quality and enabled hair physics. The missing toggle is therefore expected on that version; older advice to switch modes no longer applies.
Patch 1.1.0 adds volumetric fog and reports improved Series S stability. It does not announce a return of the Quality/Performance switch.
Series X is different: the notes describe adjustments to Performance Mode, not removal of its switch. Check which console you own before following a Series S answer. A 30 FPS cap is a limit, not a measured guarantee of a steady frame rate.
Alongside 1.0.4, IllFonic announced 10,000 Perk Points for players who already had the game at that time. The post does not provide a public redemption code, a claim deadline or a step-by-step claim menu. Do not enter an invented code or assume this is a permanent new-purchase bonus. For spending points, see card rolls and temporary upgrades.
Patch 1.1.0 fixes tracking for Purely and Simply Evil and adds a notification when a Story challenge fails. It also lists broader challenge improvements, but does not individually confirm every Chapter 2, 4 or 5 route, or an all-clear for Pumpkin Smasher and Heavy Handed.
Use the failure notification to identify where an attempt diverges. For Chapter 4, follow the scene checkpoints; Challenge 5’s living-room stalking goal is separate from Challenge 6’s whole sequence. If a trophy still fails, record its exact name, build and whether you hosted a private match; 1.0.3 previously addressed private-host awards.
Record platform, displayed build, character or weapon, exact objective wording and the action before failure. For a challenge, capture the counter before and after an applicable action. For a crash, distinguish Loomis arriving, loading a match and finishing a Story mission.
