Halloween: The Game Characters & Roles
Start with the playable sides: Michael Myers as the Killer and the Civilian roster on the other side of the 1v4 match. This page keeps launch names, edition boundaries, and official character systems together without turning background details into a power ranking.
Michael Myers vs. the Civilians
The official multiplayer structure is one Killer against four Civilians. The two sides have different systems and objectives, so a character name alone does not describe a complete playstyle.
Michael Myers
KillerMichael is the single Killer side in the 1v4 structure. The official progression material names Killer Sense and Shape Jump among his starting traits, with additional abilities described as part of his loadout system.
- Named systems are included as official reference points.
- No cooldowns, damage values, or strongest ability claims are made here.
Civilian Characters
Four-player sideCivilians are the four-player side of the match. Official material describes unique stats and signature traits for Civilian Characters, while the multiplayer overview explains the rescue, item, police, and escape systems around the round.
- Roster membership is separate from a character strength judgment.
- Use the multiplayer guide for the full round loop.
Role first, stats second
Michael and Civilians do not use the same progression path. Civilian characters have their own stats and signature traits, while Michael has named starting traits and selectable abilities. The images on this page show those two sides of the system; they are reference visuals, not evidence of relative power.

This table reflects the official launch and early access material checked on September 8, 2026. It records role and edition scope only.
| Character or group | Role | Edition or scope |
|---|---|---|
| Jennifer, Tanya, Rachel, Eric, Marcus | Civilian | Standard Edition launch roster |
| Thomas, Bob, Lynda, Annie, Laurie | Civilian | Standard Edition launch roster |
| Richard and Alexis | Civilian | Digital Deluxe additional playable Civilians |
| Michael Myers | Killer | Launch Killer role in 1v4 multiplayer |
The Digital Deluxe inclusion is an official launch-material claim, not a promise about every current store package or future availability. Recheck the live edition page when access terms matter.
Where Character Differences Come From
The developer has described broad stat and loadout systems. Precise values, complete ability lists, and character-by-character comparisons are not established on this page.
Civilian Stats
Official categoriesThe official progression overview names four Civilian stats:
- Athleticism: movement on foot and by bike.
- Personality: interactions with residents and authorities, follower commands, and resistance systems described by the developer.
- Resourcefulness: repairing and interacting with the environment, vehicles, and firearms.
- Capability: vigor plus melee and throwable household items.
Michael Systems
Named systemsMichael has a separate loadout path. Official material names Killer Sense and Shape Jump, and also describes systems such as Reality Tear, Blackout, and Detection Pulse.
- These are examples from the official overview, not a complete ability database.
- No ranking or best-use recommendation is attached to the names.
Character-Linked Progression
Version-sensitiveThe official overview ties Civilian Level to each playable Civilian. It also describes progression that can unlock additional Civilians, Michael abilities, and Civilian starting options.
Exact level caps, XP curves, unlock timing, and complete reward tables still need version-specific evidence.
Legacy Character Context
Identity noteBob, Annie, Lynda, and Laurie are presented in official material as legacy characters connected to the Halloween film universe and the playable Civilian roster.
Film identity explains who a character is; it does not establish gameplay strength or a preferred pick.
Choose which stat to inspect first
Use the part of the match you want to understand as a starting point. This maps the developer’s stat definitions; it does not rank characters or account for every signature trait.
| Part of the match | Stat to inspect | Officially described scope |
|---|---|---|
| Moving on foot or by bike | Athleticism | Movement speed and efficiency. |
| Residents, authorities or followers | Personality | Persuasion, alerts, follower commands, Fear and Stalk resistance. |
| Repairs, environment, vehicles or firearms | Resourcefulness | Repair expertise, environmental awareness and operation of those tools. |
| Vigor, melee or throwable items | Capability | Overall vigor and use of melee weapons or throwable household items. |
This Is Not a Tier List
The available official sources support the role split, names, edition scope, and system categories. They do not support a strongest character, win-rate, meta, or mandatory-pick conclusion.
Do not infer ability values, cooldowns, team combinations, or match outcomes from the roster table. For objectives, police systems, rescue tasks, and escape flow, continue to the 1v4 multiplayer guide. For broader growth systems, see Progression & Perk Cards.

IllFonic’s October 5 announcement schedules Michelle and Eugene for October 27 in a separate Civilian Characters Pack, listed at $9.99 for both. They are not part of the launch roster table above, and the announcement does not establish automatic inclusion with the launch Deluxe Edition.
If you want those characters, compare the character pack with the free map and cosmetic packs. Their current stats, signature traits and relative strength are not established here before release; do not pick one on the basis of an invented tier ranking.
